Each bassoonist will attend several master classes during the week. Master classes will focus on the fundamentals of bassoon performance, such as: tone production, tonguing, finger technique, articulation, reed-making, and more.

Enrollment is limited to 6 bassoonists.

Placement Video Guidelines

Two contrasting pieces that demonstrate technique and expression.
Two or three octave chromatic scale, played twice, slow and fast.
Piano accompaniment is optional.

Time: Do not exceed 5 minutes

Being able to play amazing music that I don't often get the chance to play and being able to play with so many amazing young musicians.

I absolutely loved my quartet and the evening activities!

My favorite part is just getting to make wonderful music with amazing people who care so much about music. Specifically being in the Philharmonic and just the energy and sound you can create with my friends.

Philharmonic and ukulele class, I learned so much and solidified my decision to a music major.
